Community Choice, Cost and Control (1)

NDDC are proposing to return a number of non-statutory services to Community ownership and control.

The Community now has a challenging opportunity to choose the services it wishes to keep and decide what it is prepared to pay to maintain them.

Before making decisions, the Community needs to be reassured that this approach is both achievable and affordable.

Gillingham Town Council is offering itself as a potential Service Provider to the Town and to surrounding Parishes − in line with the National initiative for Market Towns to take more of a lead on community matters.
